Five Techniques. One Simple System.

Every young hitter needs the same foundation. We built a step-by-step sequence that any volunteer coach can teach โ€” no baseball background required.

Grip First Things First

A proper grip is the foundation of every good swing. We teach kids to hold the bat with their "door-knocking" knuckles aligned โ€” relaxed hands, not white-knuckle tight.

Knocking knuckles lined up Relaxed, not tight Fingers, not palms

Ready Stance Set Up to Succeed

Before anything can happen, kids need to be in an athletic position. Feet shoulder-width apart, knees soft, weight on the balls of their feet โ€” ready to move.

Shoulder-width stance Soft knees Weight forward

Stride Timing Is Everything

The stride loads power and starts timing. A short, controlled step toward the pitcher โ€” not a lunge. We keep it simple: "soft step, land quiet."

Short, controlled step Land quiet Toward the pitcher

Contact Where It Happens

Contact is the moment everything pays off. Eyes on the ball, swing level through the zone, and connect out in front. We drill "see it, hit it" as the core cue.

Finish Complete the Swing

A full follow-through means everything before it was working. High hands, hips through, and balanced at the end. "Wrap it around" is the cue kids remember.

Drill Demo Videos

Short 30โ€“90 second clips walking coaches through each technique. Upload yours to YouTube and we'll embed them here.
